Tariq played collegiate baseball at New Mexico State University, Grand Canyon University, and Cisco College as an NCAA Division I catcher. He was the 2022 High School Region Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year and posted a .996 fielding percentage at the Division I level. Tariq has over 4 years of coaching experience working with youth, high school, and collegiate players and specializes in hitting, catching, defensive development, and baseball IQ.
