Katie was a Division 1 softball player at Arizona State University. She was the 2008 WCWS National Champion and MVP, a 2-time NCAA All-American, and is in the ASU, SLOHS, and ASA Halls of Fame. At Arizona State, she set career records in wins, strikeouts, perfect games, WHIP, innings pitched, and strikeout ratio, and is the 7th all-time strikeout leader in NCAA history. She played professionally for teams in Japan, the USA, and Italy and was a member of Team USA in 2009. She’s also the first female athlete to have her #7 jersey retired at ASU. After playing, she coached Division I pitching at CCSU and TSU.
